Memory Card fowl-up

I went to the beach today, to take pictures of my nephew's first time there. I tried to download the pictures from my camera, to the computer, and some of the pictures can't be downloaded. I may have inadvertantly, changed the setting on the camera when I was taking photos.

Is there a way that I can fix the problem so I can get the photos of them playing in the ocean?

I just don't want to lose these pictures. I can't get them back. All I will have is the memories, not the pictures.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I figured the problem out, I didn't lose any of my shots. Thank God!!!.

I had to change the setting on my camera to get the pictures.

Thanks again.

Not sure what your problem was, but I know my card reader won't recognize and transfer RAW format pictures directly. If you open the card files up and then MOVE, it seems to work ok.

For those of you struggling with RAW files and Microsoft software, download this program from Microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...photo/raw.mspx

Explorer as it is, does not read RAW formats and you will have issues trying to download from your card reader if you're using Microsoft to handle the file transfers. The above program allows Explorer to view RAW images.

A better solution is to use a 3rd party program, such as Download Pro from Breeze software.
