Great image, composition, and colors. What kind of plant is it? Why is it becoming extinct; e.g., loss of habitat, human use?

Very beautiful plant...that red color against the green leaves makes it stand out...I wish you could have gotten rid of the green leaf coming in from the right side...it's a little distracting....all in all, nice job.Good use of dof in the background.

Thanks for sharing the rare flower Nishanth.

I do like the composition, depth of field and focus. The colors are vibrant and look true. I do agree that one leaf coming in on the top right comes from nowhere, and maybe you could darken it up a little bit so the eyes don't wander.

What type of medicinal properties does this lovely flower have? I have never seen one like this before.

I agree I love this shot, but then I do love flower and plant pics. It almost looks like plant we see around here alot, not sure the name of the ones that grow here, we just call them honeysuckle plants because if you pull the middle stem out of the blossom, there is some very sweet nectar there...when I was a kid, my friends and I used to do that all the time
