Color Calibration Chart

Do anyone have any info that I can use pertaining to the usage, and functioning
of a color calibration chart? Because my images are beginning to suffer from my lack of knowledge in this area of expertise. Case, and point, view the image of my son I just shot recently, It's too yellow. Obviously, I need my laptop monitor calibrated, but I also need to learn how to operate a color calibration chart also. Thanks

This is something I am dealing with right now. I got another large print that was cr*p. My fault.

Check out this area on monitor calibration. Basically you want the screen to essentially match the print when softproofing. That requires the ICC profile of the printer being used to generate the print. For SmugMug you can get the EZPrints ICC profile.

I hope to get my long-awaited monitor calibration gear soon. Wife asked what I wanted for my birthday and I said the unit from Eye-One. Here is what Andy Williams (SmugMug) did with his Huey a while ago. Here is my recent thread on Dgrin discussing the subject, too.
