Thanks Lise, glad I was able to inspire someone with one of my shots. I just counted the shots on the card (haven't deleted 'em yet) and I took a total of 7 shots. Got a couple keepers but this was the best of them.

Looking forward to see your creativity with one of these.

I took this last week when the subject hit me with inspiration. There are more on my flickr.

ISO 200 | 1/400 @f7.1 | 80mm focal length | Flash at 1/16th? | Cactus triggers

I just rested the flash on the table and by chance had a piece of black card stock. For this the stock was on top of the strobe which restricted the light a bit.
(the black stock was more on top of the flash to restrict it more, but that is more or less the set up.)

I'll be sending some rounds downrange, so to speak, real soon. I just acquired 2 pretty nice flashheads and have no idea what I'm doing. Gear & questions: the 2 prerequisites to my posting
