This is without a doubt my most favorite lightning/storm shot that I've captured--so far . This was taken at one of my newest "hotspots", Middle Lake. While shooting the sunset this thunderhead started to grow and get closer. So instead of running and taking cover, I set up and captured this awesome lighting display. This is my favorite because it was taken during the evening, and if anyone has tried to take lighting pictures during the day knows how difficult and frustrating it can be. But if your patient you'll be amazed what you can get.

Good word. Only a true "shutterbug" thinks, "Mmmm, lightning, think I'll stick around." instead of taking cover. Ya moron!!! *Said the woman who stands on the end of piers, next to metal lighthouses and shoots approaching storms.* Yeah, I've been there. Our mothers would slap us if they knew.
