This is a composite of 3 photos. I took them at a party this fall. You'd never know that there were over 100 people at this party by this picture. This was one of several fires they had going, but I think the heat of this one was a bit much and caused everyone to head towards the other smaller fires. The party goer that I got to stand close to the fire to take the picture was literally "smoking" after walking away form the fire with all the steam coming off of his clothes in the cold fall air. I took a long exposure of the bonfire itself to better expose the trees behind it. A shorter exposure for the sillouette subject (mostly at his request as he thought he was on fire ) and a picture of the moon that I'd taken earlier with my 500mm. I'm happy with it although there are things that I'd like to do better next time it the opportunity arises.
