I can easily imagine the parents loving this candid of their children. However, I think the decisive moment was missed. It does not tell a story or have any great impact & the features of the girl are hidden. The viewer has no idea why or what they are doing and they are not doing it together as brothers & sister. I envision them gathered around a prop such as a seashell, piece of driftwood, message in a bottle, etc. with interesting looks on their faces as they explore ... perhaps even looking out over the water at a boat, surfers, sunset, etc. Hope this is helpful -James

You know James, if you'd like to critique peoples photos, why don't you do it in the Critiques Section, where they're asking for it? Your general lack of knowledge about the photographic process can shine through there. If you need directions, try the "forum" link and you should see it there.

This is the gallery, so take your pompous criticisms where people are asking for it.

I actually love this photo, because it takes me there for a moment in time, no props needed, no full face needed I'm there on the beach the sun is going down...I get it!

Wow, what an amazing photo. The composition of the background and the playful nature of the children captivate me. The position of the little girl's hands make me believe she is in awe. Masterful.

The sky, the breeze and the children. Beautifully captured.

The choice was a very hard one thats for sure and it came down to simplity it self, where one can say that it does not tell a story that comment must have been ment for another shot, This shot is just great and tells a great story

I just found this photo, and I love it. As a parent, I wouldn't mind having this blown up and have it hanging on the wall.

I just found this, too, and I think it is simply the most wonderful photo I've ever seen. The mood, lighting, colors - take me to a very simple and innocent place in childhood. Stunning!
