I was fortunate enough to win the April 2009 Photograph of the Month at Photography Corner, and as part of the prize, I was awarded an Urban Disguise 30 camera bag from Think Tank Photo. This is my review of that bag.

First impressions where that the bag looks very stylish, and has a high quality build. You know when you hold something, and just by the feel of it, it feels like quality? Well, the Urban Disguise 30 bag has that feel. I normally tear through any bags that I own, but I could tell that the zippers, seams, and handles on this bag were very durable and strong.

The only drawback of this bag, however, is its limited size. Don’t get me wrong though, I will likely work for most DSLR users, but because my camera has a battery grip, I couldn’t comfortably fit my camera into the bag and shut the zipper properly. If you do not have a battery grip on your camera, this will not be an issue. If you do have a battery grip, you may wish to consider another bag.

Despite the fact that I couldn’t completely fit my camera into the bag, I did get use out of it on several occasions. The design allows for easy access to the camera, which comes in handy. I will likely end up getting more use out of it when I use it to carry flashes, and other accessories.

Conclusion: Overall, I would recommend this bag for DSLR users who do not have battery grips.
