Flashpoint 180 Monolight

The Flashpoint 180 Monolight is a battery-powered, compact monolight designed for use on location. It’s ideal for photographers on a budget, looking to test out a portable, off-camera flash without breaking the bank (currently on sale for only $200!).

It’s well built, with an aluminium main housing, and comes with almost everything you need to start shooting on location. I say almost because it doesn’t come with a stand, but it wouldn’t be in such a compact case (or at such a great price) if it did. Included in the box is the Flashpoint monolight with a small reflector, batteries and charger, cords, a compact carrying bag with a handle, and a small 37” translucent umbrella which you can either use to bounce flash or to shoot through. Using the NP-F960 batteries for power, it provides up to 700 flashes at a full 180w/s. The power output control is step less over a 5-stop range, which gives you fine control over your lighting needs.

It’s inexpensive, light-weight, and comes with pretty much everything you need to get started. The Flashpoint 180 Monolight is a great starter, battery-powered solution to on-location lighting - especially built for those just getting their feet wet with portable lighting.
